Cosmic Energies

July 10–12, 2026 — a dark, clarifying weekend of endings, discernment, nervous-system truth, and the kind of honesty that strips illusion off the walls.

July feels different.

Not louder.

Sharper.

Like someone quietly turned the lights on inside a room you've avoided for years.

You can still pretend nothing has changed.

But your body already knows.

The tightness in your chest when the phone buzzes.

The conversation you've rehearsed a hundred times but still haven't had.

The sudden exhaustion after carrying responsibilities that were never yours to begin with.

There are weekends when the sky simply decorates our lives.

This isn't one of them.

The astrology unfolding now isn't interested in making you feel inspired.

It's interested in making you honest.

Neptune Retrograde
July 7 – December 12, 2026

Neptune governs dreams, illusion, spirituality, imagination, addiction, fantasy, compassion, escapism, creativity, and every story we tell ourselves to survive.

When Neptune moves direct, the veil hangs comfortably over reality.

When Neptune turns retrograde, someone slowly begins pulling that veil away.

Not violently.

Patiently.

Almost cruelly.

Because you don't lose the illusion all at once.

You watch it dissolve.

The Symbol

Neptune is the ocean.

The sea has no fixed shape.

It reflects whatever stands above it.

Clouds.

Storms.

Moonlight.

Ships.

Our psyche works the same way.

It reflects beliefs until we mistake them for truth.

Retrograde asks one devastating question.

What have you mistaken for truth simply because you've looked at it for too long?

What It Feels Like

You suddenly question careers you've spent years building.

Friendships feel strangely empty.

You reread old journal entries and barely recognize the person writing them.

The relationship you've defended to everyone else suddenly becomes impossible to defend to yourself.

Movies make you cry for reasons that have nothing to do with the movie.

Your dreams become louder than your waking thoughts.

You crave silence.

You can't tolerate fake conversations anymore.

You start noticing where you've been performing instead of living.

The Shadow Nobody Talks About

Neptune doesn't only expose lies other people told you.

It exposes the identities you've become emotionally dependent on.

Being needed.

Being the strong one.

Being endlessly understanding.

Being self-sacrificing.

Sometimes illusion feels safer than freedom.

Not because you're weak.

Because certainty—even painful certainty—calms the nervous system.

Neptune removes certainty.

That can feel terrifying before it feels liberating.

Venus Enters Virgo
July 9 – August 6

If Neptune asks what isn't true...

Venus in Virgo asks what you're actually going to do about it.

This is love with its sleeves rolled up.

No dramatic declarations.

No grand gestures.

Just consistency.

Effort.

Repair.

The Symbol

Virgo has long been represented by the Maiden—not because she is innocent, but because she belongs to herself.

She carries wheat.

Harvest.

Discernment.

She separates nourishment from waste.

That symbolism matters.

This transit isn't asking who deserves your love.

It's asking what deserves your energy.

What It Feels Like

You suddenly want to clean the room that's been bothering you for months.

You stop tolerating constant lateness.

You notice how certain friendships leave you drained instead of fulfilled.

You become more aware of what your body needs.

You crave real food.

Better sleep.

More honesty.

Less performance.

You stop confusing chemistry with compatibility.

The Shadow

Perfectionism wears expensive disguises.

It calls itself preparation.

High standards.

Getting your ducks in a row.

Sometimes it's just fear wearing a nicer outfit.

Venus in Virgo asks whether you're improving your life...

Or postponing it until you finally feel worthy enough to live it.

The Waning Crescent Moon

July 11–12 brings one of the thinnest Moons of the month.

By Sunday morning, only a sliver remains.

Most people see emptiness.

Ancient cultures saw preparation.

The Symbol

The waning crescent has always represented surrender.

Not giving up.

Giving back.

The old stories.

The emotional debt.

The version of yourself that got you here but cannot take you farther.

Seeds aren't planted yet.

The field is still being cleared.

What It Feels Like

Deep fatigue.

Wanting solitude.

Deleting photos.

Cleaning closets.

Finishing conversations.

Crying without knowing exactly why.

Sleeping more.

Feeling emotionally full despite doing very little.

This isn't laziness.

This is energetic composting.

Your psyche is sorting through what stays and what finally returns to the earth.

Mars Meets Uranus

This weekend carries electricity.

Mars brings action.

Uranus brings disruption.

Together they refuse stagnation.

The Symbol

Mars is the sword.

Uranus is lightning.

One cuts intentionally.

The other strikes without asking permission.

Together they wake sleeping parts of us.

What It Feels Like

Suddenly knowing exactly what you need to say.

Changing plans without apology.

Feeling restless in places that once felt comfortable.

Creative breakthroughs arriving in the shower.

Driving a different route home.

Making a decision you've postponed for years.

Your nervous system may feel wired.

Your thoughts may arrive faster than your mouth can keep up.

Ground yourself before reacting.

Not every impulse deserves immediate action.

But don't dismiss every impulse either.

Some breakthroughs arrive disguised as discomfort.

Aldebaran

As the Moon passes near Aldebaran, another ancient symbol quietly enters the story.

Aldebaran is one of the Royal Stars.

For thousands of years it has represented integrity.

Courage.

Leadership earned through character instead of image.

Its lesson is remarkably simple.

You can achieve everything you wanted and still lose yourself getting there.

This star asks whether your success still belongs to you.

Or whether you've become successful at being someone everyone else needed.

The Story the Sky Is Actually Telling

None of these transits exist in isolation.

They're chapters of the same conversation.

Neptune removes illusion.

Venus sorts what has real value.

The waning Moon empties your hands.

Mars supplies courage.

Uranus opens the locked door.

Aldebaran quietly asks whether the person walking through that door is finally you.

Not the version built from survival.

Not the version built from pleasing.

Not the version built from proving.

You.

This weekend isn't asking you to manifest.

It's asking you to notice.

Notice what your body does before your mind explains it.

Notice the places you've outgrown but keep watering anyway.

Notice the conversations you're exhausted from having inside your own head.

The New Moon arrives on July 14.

There will be time to plant new intentions.

Not yet.

First...

Clean the room.

The visible one.

And the one nobody else can see.
